The today's company "DEWA GmbH" developed from the enterprise “OTTO DETEMPLE, SCHNEIDERBEDARF” which was created 1948 in the free Saarland. By the integration of the Saarland 1957 competition flowed out of the remaining federal territory on the cutter market. Production was changed over to trousers material; at the beginning in work per order for 2 companies. 1968 developed from "OTTO DETEMPLE, SCHNEIDERBEDARF" the company "DEWA GmbH & CO kg", in almond brook valley Saarland, which made trousers material in own production and to a prominent enterprise in this industry developed. Beside trousers material and bias cut ribbonuntil 1968 also diapers were manufactured. The introduction of materials from France, duty-free to 1970, had positive effects on the price structuring of the "DEWA GmbH & CO kg". 1976 became the "SAGUETA GmbH", pc. Ingbert, managing director Mr. Walter Detemple, follow-up company of the "DEWA GmbH & CO kg". In June 1994 the production of the "SAGUETA GmbH" was shifted of the "DEWA GmbH" taken over and to Bernkastel Kues. Production covers today beside trousers material also stright -, diagonal -, crease -, perforation and paspelband.

The business guide of the DEWA GmbH is Dipl. Oek. Annette Wenzel. The main business fields of the DEWA GmbH are technical textiles, fashionable textiles and home textiles. It for years on the important fairs e.g. the Techtextil (Frankfurt), Munich Fabric start (Munich) and the Mod'amont (Paris) is issued.

The manufacturing pallet covers all ranges of application, like belt material, function fabric, ecological fabrics® profile fabric, group fabric, medicine-technical fabrics, sport-technical fabrics, safety-relevant fabrics, geotechnical fabrics, structural fabrics. Naturally at any time innovative products for new areas of application can be developed. By the broad product range and the DIN/ISO 9000 certifying is characterised the DEWA - firm group as a system supplier for customers with high requirements in date, quality and technical variance and as reliable partners.
